Local Governments Election; Kano State KANSIEC Chairman Visit Commissioner Of Police

Kano State Electoral Commission has strengthened its working relationship with the Kano State Police Command. In an effort to ensure the peaceful conduct of the upcoming local government elections in the State.

This is contained in a statement made available to press by Hafsat Ahmad jingau Media Aide to the chairman KANSIEC KANO.

The Chairman of the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission, Professor. Sani Lawal Malumfashi, paid a courtesy visit to the Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Salman Dogo, on Tuesday.

During the visit, the Chairman of KANSIEC explained that the purpose of the visit was to renew the good relationship between the two organisations and to seek the support and cooperation of the police in ensuring the security and peace of the elections.

Malumfashi emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two organizations, particularly in achieving their common goals through effective security measures to ensure that the elections are conducted without any threats or disruptions.

In his response, the Kano State Police Commissioner of police, CP Salman Dogo, assured the Electoral Commission of his full support and cooperation in ensuring the security of electoral officials, electoral materials, and the general public during the elections.

He further assured the Electoral Commission that the police would do everything possible to ensure that the elections are conducted peacefully and without any incidents.

This visit has provided an opportunity for the two organisations to discuss new strategies and measures to address potential security threats that may arise during the conduct of the local government elections in Kano State.
