Kebbi State Governor Swears In Local Government Elected Chairmen And Thier Vices

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has sworn in the newly elected local government chairmen and their vice chairmen at a ceremony held at the Presidential Lodge in Birnin Kebbi. The State Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Umar Abubakar, administered the oaths of allegiance and office to the newly elected officials.

In his address, Governor Idris expressed joy over the APC’s victory in the local government elections conducted across 21 LGAs on August 31, 2024, by KESIEC. He attributed the victory to his leadership track record and appealed to the chairmen to embark on developmental projects benefiting their constituents.

Governor Idris emphasized inclusive governance, urging them to carry everyone along and ensure grassroots impact. He also admonished the chairmen to fear God while discharging their duties.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in chairmen, Hon. Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa, Birnin Kebbi local government pledged their total support and loyalty to the governor, promising rapid development in their respective councils. He congratulated the governor on the successful election and thanked him for finding them worthy to contest.
