Kebbi State Government Regularizes Appointment Of 233 Casual Staff

The Kebbi State Government has fulfilled its promise to regularize the appointment of 233 casual staff into permanent and pensionable employment, as announced by Governor Nasir Idris during a BBC Hausa program.

The Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Musa Ismail, presented permanent employment letters to the 233 absorbed workers, comprising 138 from Sir Yahaya Memorial Hospital and 95 from Kebbi Medical Centre, Kalgo.

The regularization process was approved by the Governor, following a screening exercise conducted by a committee headed by the Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba Bena, and co-chaired by Hon. Shafiu Zauro.

The Health Commissioner expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for his kind gesture and urged the new permanent staff to rededicate themselves to excellence in service.

Other dignitaries, including Hon. Shafiu Zauro and Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, commended the Governor for fulfilling his promises and prioritizing the welfare of workers.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Shehu Nuhu Koko, also expressed gratitude to the Governor for prioritizing the affairs of the Ministry of Health and enumerated the numerous achievements recorded by the Ministry under the incumbent administration.
