Kebbi State Government Distributes Relief Materials To Flood Victims In Kwakware Town Suru LGA

The Kebbi State Government has flagged off the distribution of over 30 million Naira in cash assistance, assorted foodstuffs, and other relief materials to victims of the recent flood in Kwakware town, Suru Local Government. The distribution exercise, led by the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Alh Usman Abubakar Ladan, aims to support over 350 households affected by the flood.

In his remarks, Special Adviser to the Governor on Revenue Generation, Alh Muhammad Arzika Dan-Atto, commiserated with the affected communities and explained that each household would receive cash assistance and foodstuffs based on the extent of their property loss or damage.

Other members of the committee, including Hon. Barrister Faruku Abubakar Maisudan and Alh Abubakar Shehu (Tafidan Dakingari), commended Governor Nasir Idris for his prompt response to the disaster and pledged to ensure a transparent and equitable distribution of the relief materials.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Governor and the committee for the relief materials, which they said would help alleviate the hardship caused by the flood.
