The Health System Strengthening Cluster, led by the Council for Affirmative Action (COFAA), has appealed to the Kebbi State Government to include a dedicated budget line in the 2025 state budget for the supervision of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs).

This was disclosed in a press conference by Mbami Sabka, Executive Director of Council For Affirmative Action(COFAA) Kebbi State Branch, while briefing journalist in Birnin Kebbi this Monday.

The cluster, comprising six Civil Society Organizations, is working on a USAID-funded project to improve healthcare service delivery through integrated supportive supervision. They have identified a significant gap in PHC supervision, with many centers lacking regular oversight.

The proposed budget line would ensure comprehensive supervision and support for all PHCs, enhancing the quality of healthcare services in Kebbi State. The cluster urges the state government to prioritize this initiative to achieve a stronger, more effective healthcare system.
