Hajiya Aisha Usman has taken over as the acting Head of the Civil Service in Kebbi State, succeeding Safiyanu Garba Bena who retired after reaching the mandatory age of 60. The handover ceremony was held at the Cabinet Office in Birnin Kebbi.
Outgoing Head of Service, Safiyanu Garba Bena, expressed gratitude to Governor Nasir Idris for the opportunity to serve and thanked civil servants and media practitioners for their support during his three-year tenure. He also wished his successor well in moving the civil service forward.
Hajiya Aisha Usman, formerly Permanent Secretary of Budget and Economic Planning, pledged to build upon her predecessor’s legacy and achieve target goals.
She acknowledged the confidence placed in her and sought cooperation and support from civil servants and the media.
