Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has been described as compassionate person who tries to provide solutions to the problems of the people’s in the state especially in health care development.
Pharmacy Ammar Khalid Mustafa, the head of department of the pharmaceutical who is also the public relations officer of “Kano medical centre” Pharmacy Ammar Khalid Mustafa, disclosed this to the journalists.
He said that the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf with his state health Commissioner, Dr.Abubakar Labaran Yusuf are taking the necessary steps to improve the health of the people of Kano State in many areas.
Pharmacy Ammar Khalid Mustafa stated that the Kano medical center was established to support the development of the health of the people in the country and to reduce the costs and difficulties of going abroad for health care.
He added that the origin for the establishment of the centre was started by the effort of their eldest brother, Dr. Hasan, who intended to formed modern diagnostic centre,but some of his relatives who have international standard hospitals in Lebanon, Canada and America attracted his attention instead of test centre to established international standard medical centre in Kano.
He agreed and build Kano medical centre, which took about three years for the compliment of the five-story building, now they are using the first floor for medical care , but in the near future, the remaining parts will be opened and they will start doing other things and surgeries.
Pharmacy Ammar Khalid Mustafa said huge amount of money been spended for the constitution and installing aquipments in the medical centre ,despite the problems encountered due to raising prices of dollar which they use for importations of hospitals equipments.
He said that they hoping that Kano medical center will serves as avenue that will reduce many people’s in the country from traveling abroad for medical care, because now their laboratory is one of the best in the country and they are doing many things that are not been done in other health care institutions.
He further explained that when patients are brought in the centre , there is no delay in diagnosing them for doctors to give them medical care promptly.
Pharmacy Ammar Khalid Mustafa pointed out that by considering with the huge population in this country, although the Government Hospitals are trying in doing their efforts, but the work are too much for doctors and there is lack of modern health facilities this is causing a delay in treatment of patients.
He said that Kano Medical Centre are trying to make it easier for the patients by reducing some percent of money for the patients that cannot be able to pay for medication, this is part of the gesture, kindness, generosity and mercy of the chairman of the centre Dr. Hasan.
He shows that they are using 24 hours electricity service in the centre they are spending N20M monthly to ensure uninterrupted sustainable of electricity.
Pharmacy Ammar Khalid said they always try to ensure respect and honor to patients,if any employee harass them the centre management are taking action against them, and most of their employees and professionals doctors and health workers are indigenous, only few are foreigners.
