Gov. Buni Approved N12.7bn For Developmental Projects In Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni approved the release of N12.7bn for developmental projects across the state, including the constructions of roads, health and others.

While briefing the journalists the council meeting outcome, at government house Damaturu, Commissioner of information, culture and home affairs, Hon. Muhammad Lamin said the state council approved to execute a number of projects that will uplift the standard of living of people in the state.

He said, “Council released N356m for Procurment of assorted Toyota Vehicles as utility and C. V. U to MDAs and Governor’s office with additional N112m for procurment 2 Toyota vehicles to Governor’s office.”

“Also the meeting approved released of N1.017bn for construction of 16km stone base pavement on Nguru-Balanguwa road, N6.7bn for construction of 30km asphalt road of Balanguwa to Kumagannam, 10km road construction Chumbusko to Tagali for N2.1bn.”

However, the state council approved the revised additional works and fluctuations in the price of building materials for the construction of Potiskum Modern market at the total cost of N1.2bn.

“Council approved variation and additional works for construction of standard materials and Child Health Complex at Yobe University Teaching Hospital, Damaturu at cost of N749m.” Said Lamin.

“Council also approved for suply of medical consumables to the ministry of Health at the cost of N437bn.” He said.
