Chairman of the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), Alhaji Dahiru Tata has undertaken a tour to all the twenty Local Government areas of the state on an enlightenment drive.
According to a statement by the commission’s information officer, Sani Mu’azu Ilelah, the tour which took the SIEC management team, visited the councils’ headquarters and other major towns in the Local Government Areas was to enlighten the electorates on the pro and cons of the elections.
The commission has visited all the twenty LGA in the state with a view to enlightening the major stakeholders and people of the state on the preparation of the forth coming Local government elections coming up on17/10/ 2020.
Alhaji Dahiru Tata has assured the people of his commission’s resolve to conduct free, fair and credible elections in the state.
He appealed to police operatives to ensure adequate security in virtually all the polling booths across the twenty local government areas of the state.
