- The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Practices Offences Commission ICPC has arrested the Interim Chairman of Rimin Gado Local Government Council in Kano Zangina Galadima Zango
POLITICS DIGEST authoritatively reports that Mr. Galadima is in the ICPC to answer some questions in relation to an alleged diversion of funds by the State government through the 44 local government caretaker chairmen.
This further debunked the story going round on the media that the chairman was whisked away by kidnappers.
A source told this paper that he is currently at ICPC custody where he will answer some questions and may be prosecuted on Monday.
Recall that the 44 local government caretaker chairmen, including the commissioner for local government, who doubles as the deputy governor of Kano earlier obtained an interim order restraining the commission from further investigation, harassment or invitation by the anti graft agency over the alleged case.
Politics Digest gathered that the Chairman is in detention while all effort to arrest the other local government chairmen proved abortive as they are on the run
