His Highness, the Emir of Pai in the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Abubakar Sani, stated that he would prioritize the education sector to foster the development of his emirate and ensure the maintenance of peace and prosperity among his people.

His Highness made this statement during an interaction with the press at his palace in Pai town, Abuja, when the Association of Hausas and Fulanis visited to congratulate him on receiving his staff of office.

He emphasized his commitment to improving education, particularly for children. “We will ensure that our children are not only engaged in farming and animal breeding but also receive both modern and religious education. Due to the current situation in the North, many children have been left behind,” he said.

He added, “If there is education, things will be easier, and progress will come.”

He commended the federal government for its efforts to address the issue of out-of-school children. “Recently, the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCAOOSCE) visited to assess children who are not attending school. They identified many such children. We are grateful to the federal government for sending officers to check on these children and facilitate their enrollment in school.”

The Emir also emphasized the need to unite his community under the emirate. “It is a city with a rich history, home to both Hausas and Fulanis. Our main priority is to bring the people together to achieve the development of this district. We will address the problems we face to ensure our people can lead comfortable lives.”

He continued, “Our town is rural, and we are working to develop it. The road contract has already been awarded, and the contractor will begin work soon. We believe that the road will significantly benefit the community by facilitating the export of agricultural products and livestock to the market, thereby enhancing their livelihood.”

Regarding security, he called on the community to support the government in maintaining peace in the country. “We have the unity of the leaders, especially the Ardo-Ardo of the Fulani, concerning the arrival of new faces. This helps us avoid intruders who might disrupt our peace.”

He mentioned that they maintain a strong relationship with security agencies to ensure peaceful coexistence among the people and noted that there is a mutual understanding in their region that supports the maintenance of peace.

A group of Hausas and Fulanis visited the Emir at his palace to congratulate him on receiving the staff of office. They emphasized their strong understanding with both major and minority tribes in Abuja.

Hon. Yahya Isa Danmadamin Bwari how is the Deputy Secretary MACBAN and chairman FCT HAUSAWA & FULANI ORIGINAL INHABITANTS (INDIGINOURS) ASSOCIATION also mentioned that they visited the palace of His Majesty the Emir of Pai to offer their congratulations. During their visit, they raised concerns about the way some royals treat Hausas and Fulanis as though they are not indigenous to Abuja. He stated that they would address these issues with the government to ensure better understanding and integration among all communities in the capital city of Abuja.
