Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has appealed to wealthy Muslims to build more Islamic schools to promote Islamic knowledge and education. He made the call while laying the foundation for an Islamic school in Suru, sponsored by Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Suru.

The governor praised the initiative, saying it would motivate others to support Islamic education. He also commissioned a Juma’at Mosque built by Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Suru and visited a renovated General Hospital in Suru, promising to support the hospital’s efforts.

Governor Nasir commended the community’s efforts in renovating the hospital and urged them to continue taking initiative in development projects, rather than relying solely on government support.

The event was attended by top government officials, including the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, and Commissioners, as well as the Rector of Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic and a Member of the Federal House of Representatives.
