The Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has described the emir of Yauri in Kebbi State, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi as an elder statesman.
Mr. Gbajabiamila who was represented by his Chief of staff Hon. Sanusi Garba RIKIJI stated this during a public lecture organised at Yauri town to celebrate the Silver jubilee of 25 year on the throne as the 42nd Emir of Yauri.
Rikiji said that the Emir has recorded alot of achievements in the last 25 years on the throne.
He further described Emir of Yauri as a father with all qualities of leadership and A leadership with high level of dedication, transparency who contributed to the development of peace and stability in the country.
“A 25 years of Dr Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi has recorded remarkable achievements and transformed the lives of humanity in the areas of security, education, economy, banking, finance and communication.
“Other areas contributed by the Emir of Yauri were trade,commerce, electrification, roads, rural infrastructure , agriculture and culture among other areas not only in Yauri Emirate but Kebbi State and Nigeria as whole.
“Through political reformation, the monarch successfully brought the people closer to the leadership because he makes wide consultations before taking decisions on critical issues”, Rikiji explained.
In his remark, the Minister of State for Education ,Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, noted that the Emir has united all the stakeholders at the Emirate which have been serving as the backbones for the development of the Emirate.
Prof. Nasir Musa Yauri, in a lecture, titled “Sarki Zayyanu: Chronicles in the Life of a Prince, a Scholar, and a philosopher -King’, noted that the Emir has excelled in the areas of education economy and security among others.
Prof. Yauri who is the Vice -Chancellor of Alkalam University ,Katsina said core of the emir’s philosophy is ‘Yauri first. Infact he loves his people and he is committed to their welfare.
“The Emir Dr Muhammad Zayyanu for the sake of Yauri, he can leave his palace and traverse the length and breath of Nigeria. Whenever there is a problem, he goes out looking for solutions.
“Whether that problem relates to lack of basic Infrastructure like electricity, water and roads or insecurity,HRH does not have a political party.
According to him, the emir’s political party is Yauri Emirate and whoever loves Yauri and it’s people. At both the local and international level,he is a friend to those who love Yauri and it’s people”, Prof. Yauri explained.
Among the important dignitaries that attended the occasion included, Rt. Hon Sanusi Rikiji who represented Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu, and the Vice-Chancellor of Al-Qalam University, Katsina, Prof. Nasir Musa Yauri among others
