Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa  has described as unfortunate Monday’s fire disaster at the PZ Roundabout, Yola, where property worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Fintiri, in a statement  on Tuesday by Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, Press Secretary to the Governor,  however, thanked God that no life was lost in the incident.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports  that the incident occurred as a result of Tanker explosion at the PZ roundabout, popularly known as ‘roundabout Maidoki’,  early hours of Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.

The governor sympathised  with those who were affected by the inferno.

He  urged them to take heart and have hope in God that they will have a comeback and not see the unfortunate incident as the end of the road for them.

“I feel saddened by the event and I am particularly disturbed by the news of the disaster. My heart goes out to those who were affected,” he  said.

Gov. Fintiri noted that the event happened at a difficult time of economic doldrums as citizens work hard to make ends meet.

“The government stands by you at this trying moment. I wish to, therefore, express my deep sympathy to victims who loss valuables to the disaster.

“On behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa, please do accept my sympathy.

“I assure you of the support of my Government and pray that the incident does not break you economically”, he stated (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
