A non-governmental group ‘Gaskiya Dokin Karfe’ have commended the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Leather Science and Technology (NILEST) Zaria, Prof. M.K. Yakubu for his tremendous achievements especially now that the institute is enjoying full academic stability, since he was appointed to head the institute about 3 months ago.
The group made its stands known through the coordinator, Alhaji Ali Go Slow, after the end of their monthly meeting in Samaru Zaria yesterday.
Alhaji Ali Go Slow who is also the Kakakin Samaru noted that the DG has operate an inclusive type of administration since he assume duty as the chief executive of the organization, “He Has give every staff a sense of belonging, by carrying all the workers union along and he is running a transparent type of government, this was what was missing in the institute over the years which resulted in several industrial unrest” he said.
The academic activities in the institute are enjoying relative peace since the inception of Prof Yakubu as the DG. Ali Go Slow therefore, calls on staffs and students of the institute to reciprocate by putting in their best to consolidate what was achieved so far.
