Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has on Saturday paid homage to the new emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli at his palace in Zaria City, Kaduna State.
Dr. Dauda Lawal whose traditional title is ‘Gamjin Gusau’, condoled the death of his highness, Alhaji Shehu Idris. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the late emir eternal rest.
Dauda Lawal who is an ex-First Bank Director is a philanthropist and a prominent politician from Zamfara State.
He prayed to God to guide the new Emir, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli. “I hope and pray that the new emir will emulate the late Emir of Zazzau, Dr Shehu Idris because he did his best in uniting the emirate and there is no doubt about that.” He said.
Recall that on Wednesday, Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i had appointed Mr Nuhu-Bamalli as the new Emir of Zazzau, succeeding Dr. Shehu Idris who died on Sunday, September 20, after reigning for 45 years.
