The scholarship committee of Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, has cleared a total of 805 students for scholarship benefits.
The breakdown includes 291 students from Federal University of Agriculture Zuru (FUAZ) and 514 from Kebbi State University of Science and Technology Aliero (KSUSTA).
However, one KSUSTA student was disqualified due to document inconsistencies.
The cleared students received N35,000 each after verification and clearance.
Committee Chairman Professor Umar Ahmad Sanda expressed satisfaction with the exercise, praising committee members for their hard work.
Sanda explained that the required documents included local government indigene letter, national identity cards, offer of admission, and university identity cards.
The disqualified student claimed Yauri local government area of origin but presented documents indicating Birnin Kebbi local government area.
Sanda urged students to self-disqualify if lacking required documents, warning of screening discovery.
He appreciated support from committee members, university management, and Senator Maidoki for his commitment to empowering youths.
