Palliatives: President Tinubu Delivers Additional Consignment Of 18,500 Bags Of Rice To Kebbi

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has delivered an additional 18,500 bags of rice to Kebbi State as part of the federal government’s efforts to support vulnerable individuals amidst the current economic situation. This gesture benefits 18,500 persons, each receiving one 25kg bag of rice.

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, led the distribution exercise in Birnin Kebbi, assisted by Governor Nasir Idris, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Sen. Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and Senior Special Assistant on Politics to the President Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari.

According to Sen. Kyari, President Tinubu acknowledged Governor Nasir Idris’s impressive leadership in improving living conditions and agricultural production in Kebbi State. The president also expressed concern about the state’s flooding issues and plans to implement programs to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Sen. Bagudu praised Governor Idris’s performance, stating that President Tinubu is committed to supporting states to succeed. He noted that Kebbi has the potential to feed the nation, and the president has approved the governor’s submissions to ensure the state’s excellence.

Governor Nasir Idris expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his assistance, acknowledging the significant impact of the federal government’s support. He also commended Sen. Bagudu’s performance, affirming Kebbi’s pride and support for him.

This initiative demonstrates the federal government’s commitment to alleviating economic hardship and promoting food security in vulnerable regions.
