The Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, has commiserated with the people of Ajase-Ipo on the death of Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola, the Olupo of Ajase-Ipo.

The Olomu, in a statement issued in Omu-Aran on Monday, said he was saddened with the news of the sudden exit of the Olupo, who was the chairman of Igbomina Traditional Council, Kwara State.

While describing the death of the foremost traditional ruler as shocking and devastating, he said he would be remembered for his love for his people and Igbominaland.

“We had a fantastic working relationship and we were always talking about development of our communities.

“He was a listening and selfless leader and a promoter of peace and unity,” Oba Adeoti said.

He prayed for the royal and the extended families of the late Oba Woleola and that Almighty Allah would grant his soul eternal rest.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Oba Woleola, the 15th Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, ascended the throne in 2009 and reigned for 12 years.
