NGO Trains 200 Volunteers On Leadership Skills In Kwara

A Non Governmental Organisation, KAB Foundation in partnership with Zero Tolearance for Social Immoralities Initiative ( ZETSI) Africa, on Saturday trained Two hundred (200) volunteers on leadership skills in Ilorin.

Mr. Kehinde Bankole, The CEO/Founder, KAB Foundation, while delivering his opening address, said the 200 volunteers were drawn from the 16 Local Government areas of Kwara with the mandate to train and create awareness among youths on dangers of engaging in social vices and immoralities.

He described social vices as bad traits and negative behaviours that are capable of destroying ones live and as well affect the society negatively.

According to him, young people who engage in social vices and immoralities put their future at risk and would become useless to their families and society at large.

” We want to volunteer and say No to Thuggery, Examination malpractices, Prostitution, Drug abuse, Rape, Cyber crime, Infrastructure vandalism and all other forms of social vices.

” You are to go and campaign against it. You are now an Ambassador of Zero tolearnce to social immoralities. You are to live by example and as change agents.

” We need to save the future of our dear nation. We must play a major role in sensitising the public on advancement of humanity and community development,” he said.

He urged Nigerian youths to engage in enterprenuship skills and stop waiting for Government to provide job.

” Stop being a street graduate and think on what you can do to help yourself. Aquire entrepreneurship skills and don’t be a lazy youth,” he said.

The CEO, however, warned the youths to shun social vices like drug abuse, smoking, indecent dressing, rape, cultism, Prostitution in order to secure a better future.

He said KAB Foundation with ZETSI Africa targets 1000 volunteers before the end of the year, adding that it would cut across thev36 states of the country.
