The Executive Committee and the entire membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Ungogo Branch, Kano State, extend there heartfelt commendationthe Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his swift and compassionate response to the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Ahmad Abubakar Gwadabe Chairman of Ungogo branch of NBA and made available to press.
Adding that prompt action by His Excellency to provide much-needed assistance and relief to the affected victims of this devastating flood underscores his deep sense of humanity and solidarity with fellow citizens in Borno State.
He said the donation made to the people of Maiduguri serves as a shining example of leadership that prioritizes the well-being and dignity of all Nigerians, regardless of borders. This act of kindness in times of crisis reflects Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s commitment to fostering unity and support among Nigerian states, especially in times of need.
The NBA Chairman Ungogo Branch also extend their gratitude to Alhaji Aminu Dantata and other notable indigenes of Kano State for their generous contributions to the victims of the Maiduguri flood,their selfless gestures exemplify the spirit of communal responsibility and empathy that is characteristic of our people.
The Nigerian Bar Association, Ungogo Branch, stands in full solidarity with the Government and people of Borno State as they grapple with the challenges brought by this natural disaster.
He added that they offer there deepest sympathies to those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods due to the floods.In light of the increasing frequency and severity of flood disasters across the country.
They call upon the Federal Government to intensify its efforts in adopting and implementing proactive flood mitigation and disaster management strategies this includes enhancing infrastructure, bolstering early warning systems, and increasing preparedness across vulnerable regions.
