National Population Census Will Soon Be Conducted –Dr.Aminu Tsanyawa.

The National population census will soon be conducted in Kano state. Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsayawa, the federal commissioner of the National Population Commission in Kano State, has announced the upcoming census preparation.

He urged the people of Kano state to be prepared for the census program. Dr. Tsayawa emphasised that knowing the actual population is crucial for the government to allocate resources and implement development programs effectively.

Although the exact date for the census has not been set, all necessary items for the census have been collected, and the materials have arrived in Kano state.

Dr. Aminu Tsayawa noted that all development activities in the country are based on population estimates, as there is no exact guarantee of the population numbers. Although the census was initially planned for 2023, it was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

He stressed the importance of cooperation to ensure that everyone is counted, especially since Kano is forecasted to have the highest population in the country.

Dr Ibrahim Tsayawa emphasised the need for stakeholders to create awareness about the importance of the census, as accurate statistics are crucial for resource allocation.
