Matawalle Mourns/Eulogises Leadership Newspaper Publisher

Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has described the death Leadership Newspapers’ publisher, Mr Sam Nda Isaiah as great loss to the journalism profession in particular and the country as a whole.

This was contained in a statement by Zailani Bappa, Special Adviser Public Enlightenment, Media and Communications.

He said he received the news of the Publisher’s death early this morning as a shock considering the fact that up to yesterday in the morning he was said to be active in his office.

“However, death sometimes is an unpredictable visitor. Sam has played his role in the development of this country and has left a vacuum in the field of Politics and journalism”, Matawalle observed.

“I have followed with keen interest the professional and political leanings of this great  man whose medium recently honoured me with an award of excellence. The leadership newspaper has for several years, been a mobiliser, crusader and enhancer of quality”, the Governor noted.

“As a politician, I have cause to salute his resilience and courage especially when he represented the interest of the Youth by boldly contesting the Presidency of Nigeria. This singular courage opened the floodgate for other Youth to aspire”, Governor Matawalle further observed.

While expressing his condolence to the family of the deceased, Governor Matawalle noted that he has lived a fulfilled life which has made an impact on the Polity. He said he IS particularly leaving a living legacy of excellence in journalism profession in Nigeria.

“On behalf of myself, my family, the government and good people of Zamfara State, I wish to send this message to the family of Mr Sam Nda Isaiah, the Leadership Newspapers and the entire affected persons that may God the Almighty have mercy upon his soul for the good works he left behind for humanity”,  Matawalle prayed.

Mr Sam Ndah Isaih was the proprietor of a successful media outfit, a politician of repute and one time a Presidential aspirant under the APC and a budding social mobiliser. He is reported to have died yesterday at the age of 58 after he developed sudden complications while working in his office in Abuja.
