Lawmaker Tasks Student On Dedication, Hardwork

Member representing Keffi East Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Abdulaziz Danladi, has urged students to be hard working and dedicated to their studies in order to excel in their academic pursuits.

Danladi gave the task in Lafia on Wednesday after he received an award of excellence from Education Students Association of Nigeria, Nasarawa State University Keffi chapter.

The lawmaker said that hardwork pays, hence the need for the students to continue marrying their books in order to justify their parents and government huge investment in their education.

The Chairman, House committee on Works and Transport said that the award would spur him to do more towards bettering the lives of his constituents and the state at large.

He promised to do more for the people of his constituency in the areas of education and empowerment.

“I want to appreciate you for finding me worthy of this award as the award will spur me to do more towards impacting positively on the lives of students and my constituents.

“I want to urge you and other students to take your studies with all seriousness in order to excel in life.

“This is because the importance of education to societal development cannot be overemphasised,” he said.

Danladi also urged the students to shun examination malpractice and other negative tendencies in order to excel in life and for the overall development of the country.

He called on the students and other people of the state to live peacefully with one another in the interest of development.

Earlier, the President of the Association, Mr Abubakar Hamisu, who presented the award on behalf of the association, said Abdulaziz has been a worthy leader since assumption of office.

He said apart from matching words with action, the lawmaker had provided focused leadership to the people of his constituency.

Hamisu listed some achievements of the member to include award of scholarship, helping of less privileged and constant interface with his constituents.
