This development follows similar moves by other states, such as Kano, which approved a N99 billion supplementary budget for the same purpose . At the federal level, a new minimum wage bill proposing N70,000 is expected to be sent to the National Assembly for approval
In 2019, Kebbi State had approved the payment of the N30,000 minimum wage to civil servants .
