Kano State History And Culture Bureau Organized Workshop For Cultural Officers And Representatives Of District Heads

The Kano State History and Culture Bureau organized a sensitization workshop for cultural officers and representatives of district heads. In the opening speech, the Commissioner of Tourism and Culture, Hajiya Ladidi Garko, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Aisha Khailani, welcomed all participants and dignitaries and urged them to listen to the presenters with an open mind and use the knowledge they would gain from the workshop.

She thanked the Executive Secretary of the Kano State History and Culture Bureau, Arc. Ahmad Abba Yusuf for organizing the workshop.

The four papers presented in workshop. The first presenter discussed the role of participants and their relationship with the Bureau. The second presenter discussed the importance of culture and tradition relationships in with religious. The third presenter discussed the relationship between culture and social media. The fourth presenter discussed traditional ball games, performance and sports.

In his closing remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State History and Culture Bureau, Arc. Ahmad Abba Yusuf, thanked all the participants and presenters for their cooperation. He explained that the Bureau organized the workshop to guide the cultural officers in fulfilling their primary duties and to encourage them to gain more knowledge in their field.

He encouraged the participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the workshop to promote more traditional and cultural activities in their localities. He assured them that this was just the beginning.
