Governor Nasir Gifts New Toyota Jeeps To 4 Emirs in Kebbi

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has distributed modern Toyota Land Cruiser VXR jeeps to four First Class Emirs in the state, including the Emir of Gwandu, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar; the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu Mera; the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi; and the representative of the Emir of Zuru, Gen. Muhammad Sani Sami.

This gesture aims to recognize the Emirs’ role in promoting peace, security, and development within their communities. Governor Idris emphasized the importance of traditional institutions in maintaining social cohesion and stability, acknowledging the vital contributions of Royal Fathers nationwide.

The jeeps presented to the Emirs are of the same model used by the governor, symbolizing respect for their position.The vehicles will facilitate the Emirs’ transportation needs, enabling them to carry out their duties effectively.

Constitutional Role for Traditional Rulers; Governor Idris advocates for a formal role for traditional rulers in addressing societal issues, leveraging their influence as problem solvers.
