GOC Tasks Participants Of Senior Course Of AFCSC On Resourcefulness

Maj.-Gen. Lasisi Adegboye, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, has tasked participants of Senior Course 43 of Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), on resourceful study in the Division’s Area of Responsibility.

Adegboye, who was represented by the Division’s Chief of Staff, Brig.- Gen. Greg Omorogbe, gave the charge while welcoming the delegation on Monday at the Abakpa Cantonment Parade Ground, Enugu.

The participants of Senior Course 43 Department of Land Warfare of AFCSC are on an operations visit within the Division’s Area of Responsibility between Jan.17 and Jan. 20.

The GOC also urged the participants to make good use of their study tour that would take them to 14 Brigade in Ohafia, Abia State and 34 Brigade in Owerri, Imo State to learn more about the Division’s formations and Division in general.

“The Division is wishing you a purposeful and resourceful study as you know more about some of the Division’s formations as well as the Division in general,’’ he said.

Responding, Maj.-Gen. Adetokunbo Fayemiwo, head of the delegation, Director Land Warfare of AFCSC, thanked the GOC, officers and soldiers of the Division for their warm reception to the team.

Fayemiwo, therefore, advised the participants to be good ambassadors of the college and take the study tour as an opportunity to excel in their studies.

He said that the purpose of the operations visit was to afford the students the opportunity to obtain first-hand information and materials on the activities of the Division.

“This includes first-hand information in the areas of operations, administration, logistics as well as Civil-Military-Cooperation (CIMIC),’’ he said.

It was gathered that the Chief Instructors and members of Directing Staff of the College accompanied the participating students.
