COVID-19: Gov. Buni Expresses Satisfaction With Compliance Of Govt’s Directives

Gov. MaiMala Buni of Yobe on Friday expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance with the directives of the state government in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Buni in a statement issued by his Director-General Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, the Director General Press and Media Affairs in Damaturu, said: ” it was encouraging to see people adhering to WHO protection measures which include frequent cleaning of hands and social distancing using”.

He also commended Community and Religious leaders, trade unions and associations for cooperating with the Covid-19 state Committee and, taking the campaign to the grassroots.

The governor said the State Rapid Response team is proactively prepared to provide the necessary assistance for any suspicious case.

Buni gave glory to God for the safety so far enjoyed against the disease and called on the people not to relent in prayers.

He assured that government will continue to live up to its responsibility of providing the people with the desired support at all times.

NAN reports that on March 24, Gov. Buni directed the closure of public and private schools in the state amidst the growing threat of Covid-19.
