The Northern Alternative Forum has berated organizers of the stage-managed protests in Northern Nigeria. The forum also distanced itself from all actions that may escalate security breach and tension in the whole of Nigeria.
The Forum declared that those organizing the protest were been paid to destabilize Nigeria.
Reacting to the pre-planned protest in a statement today in Abuja, Mallam Gidado Ibrahim, National Chairman of the forum, alleged that the protests are well sponsored by enemies of Nigeria.
According to him, the group will never participate, support or encourage any actions that are potentially dangerous to the efforts put in place by President Muhammdu Buhari in fighting insecurity.
The Chairman Said: “Those faceless groups calling for a protest in the North should count us out of their mischievous agenda aimed at destabilizing the country.
“The Northern Alternative Forum in its thorough investigation has uncovered the real motive of the people calling for the protest. Their agenda is to discredit the Buhari led administration and create chaos.
“Most of the sponsors of the protest were anticipating a government that will come and share public funds, a government that will also favor their families and friends. But unfortunately they were disappointed by President Muhammdu Buhari’s next level.
We are in the era of democracy, if you are not satisfied with the way things are moving you can write to the national assembly, or at least sponsor a private bills. Or else you joined political parties of your choice to contest and implement your policies and ideology.” He stated
The Group further called on all northerners to shun the protest and resist any attempt of being dragged into participating in any way in a movement that turns out to the disadvantage of the region.
