The Bauchi State Mobile Court on the Partial Lockdown of the State has fined two Imams the sum of twenty thousand Naira each for leading Friday prayers in their various mosques.

The Imams were Malam Musa Hassan and Malam Dahiru Alhaji both of Dunkui Ambi village in Misau local government area who were earlier arraigned before the mobile court.

The Imams have contravened the state government’s order on the suspension of religious gathering in the state by leading Friday prayers in their respective mosques.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Muktar Abubakar, warned that it will not take it lightly with anyone found going against the law of the state on the ongoing partial lock down of the state.

Magistrate Abubakar called on the people of the state to obey the constituted authorities and become law abiding citizens.
