Bauchi Gov Pleas With Nigerian Army To Curb Robbery On Bauchi – Jos Road

Governordulkadir Mohammed of Bauchi Tuesday pleaded with the Nigerian Army to come up with new surveillance strategy in order to rescue Bauchi to Jos road against robbery and other criminal attacks.

He made the request when he recieved in audience, the Acting General Officer Commanding, 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Musa Danmadami who paid a courtesy visit at the Government House, Bauchi.

Governor Bala said that his administration is ready to work with the Nigerian Army and indeed all the security agencies working in state to deepen surveillance to ensure peaceful coexistence and for the safety of the state.

He observed that, with collaboration between the state government and the security agencies ,the menace of abduction and other criminal activities have been reduced drastically in the state.

He noted that Nigerian Army, under the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Burutai has done so much to make Nigerians safe and secure.

Bala applauded the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army for the surveillance carried out in forests of the state, saying the exercise has assisted in tackling most of the security problems facing the state.

“Bauchi is surrounded by many states and therefore we have so many forests that become hideous of criminals. We request for many surveillance for us to live peacefully.”

He also assured all the security agencies in the state of continued support of his administration to enable them discharge their assigned responsibilities diligently.

Earlier, the Acting General Officer Commanding, 3 Division of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Musa Danmadami said he was in Bauchi to visit army formations and interact with critical stakeholders in the security sector.

“Your Excellency, it is the tradition of the Nigerian Army for any Officer posted to go round and see for himself various formations and untis and to meet with the major stakeholders who are part of the security architecture.”

Danmadami, while describing Governor Bala as the major security architecture of Bauchi State, said that the Bauchi, 33 Brigade under the 3 Division with collaboration of other security agencies is doing its best to ensure peace and security in the state.

Brigadier General Musa Danmadami who expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Mohammed for his support to the troops of the Nigerian Army, assured that Bauchi will remain peacefully.
