Commred James Ekunke assistant National secretary of Nigerian Automobile Technician Association NATA.in charge of Northwest zone has thanks God for giving Nigeria freedom since 1960 “as we are celebrating 64th years of independent this year”.
He pointed this while speaking with journalists in Kano, adding that
“we are opportune that we have our freedom in Nigeria, we are free from colonial rules this is something we can continues to be happy with it”. He said.
He further explained that the only challenge we have is that we have been able to come together in unity and has made us to progress in some instances, but the desire objectives of been totally free we have not arrived there , because the freedom we deserve associate with every person in Nigeria is in able to be sustainable to sustain ourself at least to have desire things that can sustain us in life like good sound and rounded education to the less privilege in the country as whole, portable drinking water as well as sustainable roads network and security for Peace development.
Commred James added that security problem is the main challenge we have presently observed, but with what we are seeing now on the ground the present Government of Bola Ahmad Tunubu is trying to see that it is been tackle and brought to permanent solution to it.
He commended the effort of chief of staffs, inspector general of police and all the security apparatus and even the media as they are working tireless day and night and even the media who gave information of what would lead to successful in tackling the insecurity.
He adviced that the possible solution way out from the insecurity is that, the Government is to meet with the people’s especially in the grassroots level because the challenges of insecurity is that most of the people’s are out of school and they cannot do anything,the farmers cannot go back to their farms and what courses this if you check very well, for instance like a cattle rearers who suppose government to make the ranch for them but they have that challenge they are not been given good care.That things is disturbing them and now they have taken it to disturb even the farmers.
He said Government most sit with cattle rearers, the communities and hold the community dialogue with the people’s so that they can find permanent solution to all these insecurity challenges .
He also advised, that there is need to establish more companies instead of depending of importation of good to establish companies for our people’s to get jobs if people’s are self employed they will not have time for banditry or militancy.He prayed that Government should listen to the people’s and address insecurity problems very well.
Comred James also praised the good efforts of Kano state Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf who brought a very good change to state and he is somebody who is people’s oriented .
He said Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration put emphasis on education especially for the children and girls child presently now he is feeding children in schools and made transportation available to students and equipped schools with sitting and working materials.
He said also most of the roads network have been put in place and making sure each local Government is been developed so with all this in place the state is develop more, concerning security since he came on board the state has been secured particularly that you can go any place without fear.
Comred James Ekunke also call the attention of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to take action in tackling the problem some of the areas in the State are experiencing shortage of portable drinking water especially sabon gari,and part of Brigate and Kurna.
He also call on Kano government to look on how they can subsidised food to share to the people that are working with government and companies and also call markets leaders and talk to them to subsidise the food stuff and make in available to the people’s in lower price.
He assured that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has tried so much to very and prayed that by the grace of God he continues to lead Kano in 2027.
He said their association NATA is contributing very well like in youths development for many years in Kano, Lagos,Abuja and some places in Nigeria they have been training teaming youths they engage students to engage them in mechanic training after they came back from schools they are attending and also during vacation periods.
Comred James Ekunke adding that like in Kano state recently they did a mechatronics training for Youths they trained them on modern cars repairs.and some are doing panel beaten,volcanizin, spraying some air-condition work and all are doing very well ,this can protected many youths for been idle now in Kano more than 10000 Youths are working under NATA.
