Dantata Foods, Cattle Breeders Partner Boost Animal Feeds Productions

Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited, says it will collaborate with Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), to accelerate animal feeds productions.

Sunusi Bature, the General Manager, Corporate Services of the company, made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday in Kano.

Bature said that the collaboration was to facilitate production of affordable feeds product labelled: “Naruga”, to cater for the needs of cattle breeders and address scarcity in the country.

He said the partnership agreement was sealed during a meeting between the leadership of the association and the company.

According to him, the partnership aimed at creating economic prosperity, encourage livestock production, mitigate farmer/pastoralists clashes and bring lasting peace.

The statement quoted Tajuddeen Dantata, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, as saying that the company had worked out feasible and affordable feed formula, to enhance breeders access to quality feeds.

“Nigeria’s livestock industry is huge yet we have not harnessed it, the grazing reserves have been degraded by natural and human factors leaving the herders to their fate” he said.

Dantata also advocated for a conducive proactive policy framework to protect the grazing lands to cater for the needs of the pastoralists in the country.

The statement further quoted Zubairu Ibrahim, Secretary of the association, as calling on the people to support the initiative as well as government policies and programmes.
