25th Anniversary: Emir of Yauri Seeks Creation Of Job Opportunities For Teeming Unemployed Youths

The Emir of Yauri, in Kebbi, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu-Abdullahi, has appealed to the State Government and well-to-do individuals to create more job opportunities for teeming unemployed youths in his domain.

Zayyanu-Abdullahi, who is the 42nd Emir of the Emirate, made the appeal in Yauri during the final ceremony of his 25th anniversary on the throne over the weekend.

He said, ” I urge you all, the government, the rich, politicians and industrialists to continue to come together, unite and bring more developmental projects to our Emirate.

” I appeal to you all to continue to create more job opportunities for our teeming youth so that they could have something doing and stay away from idleness which is the mother of all social vices. ”

Zayyanu-Abdullahi, noted that the unity of the elites would not only bring developmental projects to the area, but also created enabling environment for numerous infrastructural facilities to springing up.

He also charged farmers to plant all the abundant crops in his domain in order to fast-track more agricultural production, saying that, “the emirate is agrarian community and they must show it to the world that they can feed the nation.”

Zayyanu-Abdullahi thanked the people of Yauri for their support since his ascension to the throne.

” You have been supporting me in my efforts to bring developmental projects and development to our Emirate.

” Almighty Allah will continue to bring peace and progress to our territory.

” We are farmers in Yauri, we have everything in abundance. We can grow many crops in our Emirate.

” So, I enjoin you all to plant these crops for the development of Yauri emirate,” he urged.

The emir, however, thanked Gov. Nasir Idris and state government officials and traditional rulers for their support to the emirate for the success of his 25th year anniversary on the throne.

Earlier, Idris, represented by the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Samaila Bagudo, congratulated the emir and the people of the emirate for successful hosting of the ceremony.

He assured the emir that the state government would continue to support the emirate for any developmental projects.
